For decades, the space race was all about building bigger rockets with increasing launch capacity. The record launch of 104 satellites by ISRO, the highest number of satellites ever launched in a single mission. India has stormed into the elite space club and besting the previous record of 37 satellites launch by Russian rocket in 2014. The deployment was a "remarkable feat" and proud moment for the space community and the entire nation, said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a tweet. "India salutes our scientists." The large number of satellites was possible because except one all the satellites were nano satellite weighing less than 10 kg (about 20 pounds). The majority were from the United States, two nano satellite were from India, and there was one each from Kazakhstan, Israel, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates. The only non-nano satellite was Cartosat from India, designed for imagining and mapping applications. It was the heavyweight at more than 750 kg around 1,500 pounds. Let's take a look at the reasons which makes ISRO stand out in the space mission and gives a tough challenge to Elon Musk's Space X as well as other space agencies of world. India's space launches beat those by advanced countries due to the low cost launch of satellites. American company Space X Rocket Falcon 9 launch costs $57 million (about Rs 381 crore). A Russian Proton launch costs $68 million (roughly Rs 455 crore). Launches of the Japanese Rocket H-IIA, the Chinese rocket Long March, European rocket Ariane-5 and another American Rocket Atlas V each cost around $100 million (about Rs 669 crore). An Isro PSLV rocket launch by comparison, costs just $15 million (roughly Rs 100 crore). The price offer by ISRO is around 4 to 7 time less than the price offer by foreign space companies. The low cost launch of satellite is a major advantage for ISRO. In fact, Antrix the commercial arm of ISRO, provides launch services much cheaper than competition. The US based Space X and the French Arianespace simply cannot compete with the prices that are offered by ISRO. In fact, ISRO provides satellite launch services at such a low cost, that the American private launch industry is threatened by ISRO, and has lobbied for a policy change in America that prevents American companies from using Indian launch vehicles such as the PSLV. ISRO might not have the highest launch capacity as compared to other nation’s launch vehicles. But the combination of the lowest prices and a track record with few failures, makes ISRO one of the best options currently available for launching small satellites in low earth orbit. However, in the last few years there has been a proliferation of nanosatellites, microsatellites and picosatellites. These small satellites are cheap to make and easily configurable. Private companies, educational institutions and space agencies around the world are finding newer and more innovative uses for nanosatellites, As the nanosatellites keep getting made, and are more useful in space than on the ground, there are waivers given to companies on an individual basis, to allow them to use ISRO launch vehicles. ISRO chief AS Kiran Kumar has said, Increasing the number of satellites in a single launch is a way for ISRO to stay competitive. The PSLV-C37 mission of launching 104 satellites is more about using the available technology to its full extent, as against setting a world record.

Rise of Indian space agency with affordable space technology is a threat to Chinese space agency. Indian space agency, ISRO is doing few things right and winning space race against Chinese space agency. This video is a comparison between India’s ISRO and Chinese space agency CNSA (China National Space Administration). After India set a new record of launching 104 satellites in one mission, many Chinese daily admitted that Indian space agency is winning the space race with low cost space technology. Still, China is way ahead in space technology as it has space stations. But, in term of space commerce, Indian space agency is leading with affordable, reliable technology. So, this is an unbiased inside analysis to compare Indian space agency with Chinese space agency to know the reality of India China space race. Indian Space Research Organisation Chief A S Kiran Kumar believes that India has capability, technology and infrastructure to develop its own space station but it needs approval from the government to work on the long-term plan. While addressing the crowd at the foundation day ceremony of Raja Ramanna Center for Advanced Technology, Indore, Kumar further added that the Indian Space Research Organisation is waiting for the government to make a decision and they soon will start the work once they get the policy and necessary funds to start the project. He accused people of expecting immediate benefits of manned space mission and said this is why India is lagging behind when it comes to setting up a space station and hasn’t made up its mind to invest in a space station. “We still talk about what would be the immediate benefits of a manned space mission. That is why the country hasn’t made up its mind about when to invest in a space station,” said Kumar. He explained that several technological developments were made for space programs that are being used by the common man at present. Megapixel camera, MRI, image processing and there are over 100 such more things that were developed for space missions and are now benefitting the life of every people on Earth. Every country citizen should understand the need of investing in research and development as it will repay by improving the future, said ISRO chief. ISRO has gained the reputation of launching satellites with precision at low price, and now foreign space agencies are contacting Indian space agency for their satellite launches. Kumar said that the scientists are working on enhancing the communication network of satellites for which they need to launch more satellites and need to do more research to reduce the cost of equipment. Several small space startups are emerging these days and want to launch their small satellites at cheap cost. ISRO can provide them with a solution, and Kumar believes that this area has immense commercial potential and he wants Indian space agency to launch the majority of the satellites worldwide. Moreover, ISRO chief added that the record-breaking feat of launching 104 satellites in one go was not meant for creating record, but it showed the power and capability of ISRO for launching the vast number of satellites precisely at low cost and it will attract more foreign clients.

The Indian Space Research Organization is the primary space agency of the Indian government. ISRO is amongst the six largest government space agencies in the world. Its primary objective is to advance space technology and use its applications for national benefit. It was established for the research and development of vehicles and activities for the exploration of space within and outside of Earth's atmosphere in 1969. Headquartered in Bangalore, Isro chief executive is also chairman of the Indian government's Space Commission and the secretary of the Department of Space. India's space era dawned when the first two-stage sounding rocket was launched from Thumba in 1963. With the advent of the Indian space program, emphasis was laid on indigenous, self-reliant and state-of-the-art development of technology for immediate practical applications in the fields of space science research activities in the country. ISROs first satellite, Arya bhatta, was launched by the Soviet Union in 1975. Rohini, the first satellite to be placed in orbit by an Indian-made launch vehicle was launched in 1980. ISRO has several field installations as assets, and cooperates with the international community as a part of several bilateral and multilateral agreements. Geopolitical and economic considerations during the 1960s and 1970s compelled India to initiate its own launch vehicle program. During the first phase (1960s-1970s) the country successfully developed a sounding rockets program, and by the 1980s, research had yielded the Satellite Launch Vehicle-3 and the more advanced Augmented Satellite Launch Vehicle (ASLV), complete with operational supporting infrastructure. ISRO further applied its energies to the advancement of launch vehicle technology resulting in the creation of Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) and Geo synchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) technologies. Indian scientists and engineers developed the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle which is an expendable launch system developed to allow India to launch its Indian Remote Sensing (IRS) satellites into sun synchronous orbits. The reliability and versatility of the PSLV is proven by the fact that it has launched 55 satellites / space crafts (26 Indian and 29 Foreign Satellites) into a variety of orbits so far. The Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle is a launch system developed to enable India to launch its INSAT-type satellites into geostationary orbit and to make India less dependent on foreign rockets. At present, it is ISRO's heaviest satellite launch vehicle and is capable of putting a total payload of up to 5 tons to Low Earth Orbit. Indian Space Research Organization has successfully operationalized two major satellite systems namely Indian National Satellites (INSAT) for communication services and Indian Remote Sensing (IRS) satellites for management of natural resources. INSAT is a series of multi-purpose satellites to satisfy the telecommunications, broadcasting, meteorology and search-and-rescue needs of India. Commissioned in 1983, INSAT is the largest domestic communication system in the Asia-Pacific Region. IRS are a series of earth observation satellites, that provides remote sensing services to the country. They provide data in a variety of spatial, spectral and temporal resolutions to enable several programs to be undertaken relevant to national development. India's economic progress has made its space program more visible and active as the country aims for greater self-reliance in space technology. India also connects space exploration to national prestige. ISRO has achieved numerous milestones since its establishment. In 2008, ISRO successfully launched its first lunar probe, Chandrayaan-1, while future plans include indigenous development of GSLV, manned space missions, further lunar exploration, and interplanetary probes. Over the years, the space organization has conducted a variety of operations for both Indian and foreign clients. In 2010 India has launched 11 satellites, including nine from other countries—and it became the first nation to launch 11 satellites on one rocket. The Indian Space Research Organization launched its first Mars orbiter, called Mars Orbiter Mission, or Mangal yaan, on 5 November 2013. The primary objective of the Mars Orbiter Mission is to showcase India's rocket launch systems, spacecraft-building and operations capabilities. Specifically, the primary objective is to develop the technologies required for design, planning, management and operations of an interplanetary mission. The Indian Space Research Organization has proposed a budget of US $2.3 billion for its human spaceflight program. If realized in the stated time-frame, India will become the fourth nation, after the USSR, USA and China, to successfully carry out manned missions indigenously.

To watch this video in hindi click below Link https://youtu.be/Rr_Xl36ndJU In the year of 1961, the globally renowned Pakistani physicist and Nobel Prize winner in Physics Dr. Abdus Salam is convincing president Ayub Khan to set up a national space agency, the first in the subcontinent. In September that year, Dr. Salam sets up the Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (Suparco) headquartered in Karachi. a full eight years before neighbor India formalizes its own space agency. the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) was established in 1969, the same year when humans set foot on the moon. The initial years of the agency are buoyed by hope. Four top scientists are sent to the NASA to study space technology. In 1960, when President John F Kennedy had announced that the United States of America planned to land an American on the moon, and bring him safely back to earth before the decade was over. NASA needed to map the wind conditions at the upper atmospheric region above the Indian Ocean. At that time NASA asked Pakistan to help in this project because at that time Pakistan space agency Suparco was reputed space agency in Asia. In 1961, Dr. Abdus Salam and Dr. Tariq Mustafa held a meeting with NASA officials in Washington. On the occasion, NASA offered help to Pakistan in the development and launching of rockets to map the atmosphere above Indian Ocean, on the condition that any data acquired from the research on upper atmosphere will be shared with NASA. But Suparco is already falling behind as the government shifts attention from space project to the atomic bomb project, shifting key resources and scientists out of the space agency Suparco. The only high point of the decade is a visit by Apollo 17 astronauts to Pakistan. Pakistan would launch its first satellite, Badr I, only in 1990 with Chinese assistance. Putting aside NASA and the European Space Agency, ISRO too started off with resources similar to SUPARCO, and ISRO with even lesser expertise than Pakistan. SUPARCO was ahead of all other Asian nations in the space race, but what happened to Pakistan space agency. the real fall comes in the 1980s and 1990s. First, President Zia-ul-Haq cuts off funding to major projects, including the flagship satellite communication launch. Then, military generals are placed atop the organisation, replacing scientists and the focus of the agency becomes countering India, rather than independent research. At the same time, the government of Pakistan disowns Dr. Abdus Salam for being Ahmadiyya, because Ahmadiyya muslim doesn’t believe that Mohammed was the final prophet. Dr. Abdus Salam’s, all the government assistance was stop and expel from the community. Abdus Salam was the one of 20th century’s most important theoretical physicists could have offered more. This affects the production of indigenous technology that is the backbone of any modern agency, and makes Suparco dependent on foreign technology. In contrast, ISRO launches its first communications satellite, starts technology sharing programmes with several countries and unveils a remote sensing satellite system that is now the largest in the world. The agency is also successful in attracting talent, helped by its autonomy and scientists at the helm. But today, Suparco continues to hurt, mainly from crunched education funding that is the lowest in south Asia and continued military supervision. Its current chairman Qaiser Anees Khurrum is a former top general. The agency has suffered a series of embarrassing failures in recent decades. It has had to give up orbital slots because it couldn’t launch in time, Pakistan first satellite was leased from the US and its latest satellite, the Paksat-1R, launched in 2011, is Pakistan’s latest satellite, that was funded, designed, built, and launched by China, only a few components of satellite were built in Pakistan. It is Pakistan’s only fully functional satellite and it’s a communication satellite. So much for a national space agency of Pakistan in the 21st century. But despite its super head start, the Suparco today is decades behind the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) in both mission success and technological prowess. ISRO broke a world record by sending 104 satellites to space, in contrast, Suparco is not expected to have indigenous satellite launching and producing technology for at least two decades and the target it has set itself is 2040, but whether it will meet its target is anyone’s guess. India plans to reach Venus and revisit Mars by then, if not more. India, on the other hand, has been able to launch national as well as international satellites. It has even managed to launch its own unmanned lunar probe, the Chandrayaan-1, Mars mission, Mangalyaan. Now ISRO is planning to launch its solar mission (Aditya L1 mission). ISRO is one of the smallest space agencies in the world in terms of budgets. A mere $1.1 billion compared to NASA’s nearly $19 billion budget per year. And when you consider the achievements, it really makes you wonder how ISRO does it. Well, let’s see the men, of ISRO who make it possible. Dr K Sivan, Director of Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSCC) in Trivandrum, The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre in Trivandrum is where design and development activities for all the launch vehicles take place. The centre conducts research on everything, from design of rockets to fuels and composite materials and guidance systems. The PSLV rocket that put all the 104 satellites in orbit was designed here. The centre is headed by Dr K Sivan who has been with ISRO since 1982. He designed software called SITARA, which ISRO uses for simulating trajectories of rockets. He also led the Reusable Launch Vehicle-Technology Demonstration (RLV-TD) project and was involved in its design qualification, aerodynamic characterisation and hardware development. The PSLV-C37 launch carried innovative experiments such as using the IRNSS navigation system for predicting the orbit of the satellites. The RLV-TD is a Reusable Launch Vehicle-Technology Demonstration Program; it is a series of technology demonstration missions that have been considered as a first step towards realizing a Two Stage To Orbit (TSTO) fully re-usable vehicle. A Winged Reusable Launch Vehicle Technology Demonstrator has been configured to act as a flying test bed to evaluate various technologies, namely, hypersonic flight, autonomous landing, powered cruise flight and hypersonic flight using air-breathing propulsion. S. Somnath, Director of Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC) S. Somanth is an expert in launch vehicle design, He joined ISRO back in 1985. He got associated with PSLV program early on during its design stages and led the team during the first two developmental flights of the PSLV. Later, as the Project Manager of the vehicle engineering and launch services management of PSLV Project, he was responsible for the mechanisms and pyro-technique systems of the launch vehicle. Under him, the Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre built the liquid rocket stages for the PSLV rocket and the GSLV rocket. He was also responsible for the successful sub-orbital test flight of the GSLV Mk3 or LVM3-X mission. LVM3-X mission is a heavy launch capability launcher being developed by ISRO. It will allow India to achieve complete self-reliance in launching satellites as it will be capable of placing 4 tonne class Geosynchronous satellites into orbit. The LVM3 will have an India built cryogenic stage with higher capacity than GSLV. The first experimental flight of LVM3, the LVM3-X/CARE mission lifted off from Sriharikota on December 18, 2014 and successfully tested the atmospheric phase of flight. Crew module Atmospheric Reentry Experiment was also carried out in this flight. The module reentered, deployed its parachutes as planned and splashed down in the Bay of Bengal. Mr. A. S. Kiran Kumar chairman of ISRO, Mr. Kiran Kumar is a highly accomplished space scientist and engineer with a distinguished career spanning over four decades in ISRO in the satellite payload and applications domains. He has made immense contributions to the design and development of Electro-Optical Imaging Sensors for Airborne, Low Earth Orbit and Geostationary Orbit satellites starting from Bhaskara TV payload to the Mars Orbiter Mission payloads. As a Chairman of ISRO, He is responsible for the implementation of the applications oriented Indian Space Programme, which has facilitated rapid development of the country in many important spheres. In this pursuit, he is steering the development of satellites and related technologies for earth observation, communication, navigation, meteorology and space science, as well as the development of indigenous launch vehicles and related technologies for providing assured access to space. He has implemented several path-breaking technologies in the development of electro-optics systems and these seeds sown by him have now blossomed into an enviable constellation of Remote sensing satellites by India. His contributions to the success of planetary exploration missions namely, Chandrayaan-1 and Mars Orbiter Mission from conceptualisation stage to critical orbital insertion, as well the space science mission - ASTROSAT have been significant. Advanced communication payloads providing high through-put/bandwidth, navigation payloads for Indian National Regional Navigation System (IRNSS) and GAGAN have been developed under his supervision. These guys made every Indian proud and achieved which all developed countries can never think of in this short span of time. Hats off to all. They are truly inspiration to everyone.

The Mars Orbiter Mission (MOM), also called Mangalyaan ("Mars-craft", from Sanskrit: मंगल mangala, "Mars" and यान yāna, "craft, vehicle"), is a space probe orbiting Mars since 24 September 2014. It was launched on 5 November 2013 by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). It is India's first interplanetary mission and ISRO has become the fourth space agency to reach Mars, after the Soviet space program, NASA, and the European Space Agency. It is the first Asian nation to reach Mars orbit, and the first nation in the world to do so in its first attempt. The Mars Orbiter Mission probe lifted-off from the First Launch Pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre (Sriharikota Range SHAR), Andhra Pradesh, using a Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) rocket C25 at 09:08 UTC on 5 November 2013. The launch window was approximately 20 days long and started on 28 October 2013 The MOM probe spent about a month in Earth orbit, where it made a series of seven apogee-raising orbital manoeuvres before trans-Mars injection on 30 November 2013 (UTC). After a 298-day transit to Mars, it was successfully inserted into Mars orbit on 24 September 2014. The mission is a "technology demonstrator" project to develop the technologies for designing, planning, management, and operations of an interplanetary mission. It carries five instruments that will help advance knowledge about Mars to achieve its secondary, scientific objective. The spacecraft is currently being monitored from the Spacecraft Control Centre at ISRO Telemetry, Tracking and Command Network (ISTRAC) in Bangalore with support from Indian Deep Space Network (IDSN) antennae at Byalalu. In this video i tried to compare both nation space agency or program based on their budget , launch vehicles .Indian Space Research Organization(ISRO) is an Indian Space agency.Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPRACO) is a pakistan space agency name. Both have their pros as well as cons. from us many not aware that pakistan also has space agency. All the information put based on google search results and from many webites, so i can be some information be wrong.
